Job Overview
Ebenezer FWB Christian School is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and Christ-centered Elementary Teacher to join our school family. This position requires a teacher who can effectively instruct a diverse group of elementary students, including children who may need additional academic, behavioral, emotional, or developmental support. Responsibilities
- Teach core elementary subjects, including reading, language arts, math, science, and social studies
- Create and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with the school’s curriculum
- Maintain a structured, safe, and positive classroom environment
- Support the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development of students
- Work effectively with students with varying learning needs, including students with special needs, learning differences, or behavioral challenges
- Implement classroom accommodations, support strategies, and redirection techniques as needed
- Collaborate with administration, parents, therapists, and support staff to help students succeed
- Monitor and document student progress, behavior, attendance, and grades
- Communicate professionally with parents regarding student growth, concerns, and classroom expectations
- Participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, trainings, school events, and other assigned duties
- Integrate Christian values and biblical principles into the classroom and daily interactions
- Serve as a positive Christian role model in conduct, communication, and professionalism
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field preferred
- Teaching experience in an elementary classroom preferred
- Experience working with students with special needs, learning differences, developmental delays, or behavioral challenges preferred
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, families, and support personnel
- Commitment to Christian education and the mission of the school
- Florida teaching certification or eligibility is a plus
