The Scheduler Receptionist will:
- Act as the initial contact for the unit's services.
- Greet all patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner and directs appropriately.
- Make patients and family members feel comfortable while taking necessary information and/or directing them to the appropriate location.
- Acquire all pertinent patient information and copies necessary material and hospital records.
- Promptly notify appropriate personnel of patient arrival, when required.
- Screen incoming calls, determines urgency, and routes to appropriate personnel or takes messages in accordance with established department procedure.
- Respond to calls and patients/visitors by providing information based on knowledge of relevant departmental and Hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Minimum of two (2) years office experience.
- Highly-motivated, independent thinker and self-starter.
- Enthusiastic team player.
- Excellent organizational, planning and interpersonal skills.
- Able to manage multiple projects.
- Strong follow-up and communication skills.
- Bilingual: Spanish/English, strongly preferred.
- Requires attention to detail and computer accuracy as pertains to data entry and patient scheduling and competence on basic office machines.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Good computer skills.
- Word processing, office scheduling, familiar with Microsoft Office.
Salary Range: 17.00 - 22.95 USD
We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.
The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
