What are the responsibilities and job description for the Buyer position at Saint Peter's University Healthcare System?

SPHS-Purchasing
The Buyer will:
- Process purchase requisitions.
- Explore procurement possibilities for each requisition.
- Maintain communications with Accounts Payable.
- Handle product discrepancies.
- Act as a resource for product information and savings. Assist Nursing with pricing on all equipment.
Requirements:
- Two (2) year Associates Degree preferred or equivalent experience required.
- Must have excellent knowledge of hospital procurement procedure.
- Strong interpersonal relationship skills required.
- Must have computer skills, Excel spread sheets, Word, etc.
- Ability to work in a fast pace environment with multiple projects and short time lines for completion.
Salary Range: 22.94 - 36.70 USD
We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.
The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
