Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries and ensuring a positive experience for patients.
- Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles, ensuring compliance with medical terminology and pharmacy regulations.
- Perform intake duties, including gathering patient information and verifying prescriptions.
- Administer medications under the supervision of a pharmacist, adhering to aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals in acute care settings to optimize patient care outcomes.
- Support IV infusion preparation and administration as needed, following established guidelines.
- Ensure that all pharmacy operations comply with legal, regulatory, and safety standards.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably in LTC or hospital settings.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to pharmaceuticals and patient care.
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and IV infusion processes is essential.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and care.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
