Responsibilities
Under the direction of the OR Nursing Director, the OR Manager’s sole responsibility is for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The OR Manager also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of the other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice to surgical patients. Can respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. Provides for a safe environment for patients and visitors. Utilizes the chain of command when necessary to ensure patient well-being and appropriateness of care to surgical patient from pre-op to post op discharge

Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
- Registered Nurse with current license in the state of Nevada
- Minimum of five (5) years Operating Room nursing experience required
- Minimum Two (2) Years of Supervisor Experience preferred.
- Manager will maintain nursing skills and credentials.
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA) certification required
- Demonstrates leadership, communication, team building skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Results oriented, proactive and self-directed
- Ability to bring diverse groups together to work as a team demonstrates skill in analyzing clinical data utilizing statistical methods
- Sexual Harassment training within 90 days of hire and annually thereafter
