Practice Manager

Nevada Eye Plastic Surgery is a specialized oculoplastic surgery practice in Reno, Nevada, providing medical and surgical care to patients throughout Northern Nevada and the surrounding region. As a small, physician-led practice, we value exceptional patient care, professionalism, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. We are looking for a Practice Manager who enjoys working closely with both staff and the physician to help a growing specialty practice operate efficiently and provide an outstanding patient experience.

We are seeking a part-time (with full-time potential), on-site Practice Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of this solo-provider specialty practice. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for keeping the practice organized, efficient, and patient-focused. The Practice Manager will supervise and support staff, coordinate clinic operations and patient flow, oversee scheduling and front-office processes, and serve as the primary point person for day-to-day operational issues.

Responsibilities include staff supervision, hiring and onboarding support, training and performance management, workflow development, and fostering a collaborative and accountable team environment. The Practice Manager will also provide oversight of billing and revenue-cycle processes, insurance and patient account issues, practice policies, regulatory compliance, and other administrative functions.

The Practice Manager will work directly with the physician-owner to identify problems, improve workflows, monitor practice performance, and implement solutions. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, approachable, and comfortable taking ownership of issues and following them through to resolution.

• Prior experience in medical practice management, medical office management, or a similar healthcare leadership role
• Experience supervising staff and managing day-to-day operations in an outpatient medical setting
• Strong organizational, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and independently resolve routine operational issues
• Working knowledge of medical billing, insurance, patient accounts, and revenue-cycle processes
• Experience with EHR/practice-management systems and medical office technology
• Understanding of HIPAA, patient privacy, and healthcare compliance requirements
• Ability to coach employees, provide constructive feedback, address performance concerns, and support staff development
• Commitment to excellent patient care and a positive, team-oriented workplace
• Experience in ophthalmology, surgery, plastic surgery, or another specialty practice preferred
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field preferred but not required with sufficient relevant experience
