Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for patients via phone, email, and in-person communication, delivering exceptional customer service.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using specialized patient management software and electronic health records.
• Verify patient insurance coverage, process billing information, and assist with health insurance inquiries in accordance with health regulation policies.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy laws while updating patient information promptly.
• Support medical administrative tasks such as data entry, document preparation, and managing correspondence related to patient care.
• Collaborate with healthcare provider to coordinate patient care plans, follow-up appointments, and necessary referrals.
• Ensure adherence to health regulation policies by maintaining a clean, organized office environment and following safety protocols.

Skills

• Proven experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting with strong knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong team player who works collaboratively with coworkers and providers, communicates respectfully, and is willing to assist others as needed to support the practice and provide excellent patient care.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and communication purposes.
• Familiarity with medical administrative support functions including appointment scheduling and billing procedures.
• Experience using patient management software and electronic health records for efficient data handling.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and client-facing interactions.
• Knowledge of health insurance processes, coverage verification, and related policies.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive patient information in compliance with privacy regulations.
• Strong organizational skills with accurate typing speed for data entry tasks.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
