Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in math and science, including topics such as algebra, geometry, basic mathematics
- Utilize educational technology tools to enhance instruction
- Manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering a positive environment that encourages student participation and collaboration and growth
- Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, standardized testing , and regular feedback sessions.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development
- Incorporate laboratory experiments, based on curriculum
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students while supporting their social-emotional development.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavioral observations in compliance with educational regulations.
- Engage with parents and guardians through conferences or communication channels to discuss student progress and address individual needs
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, Science or related fields
- Proven experience teaching middle school students in math and science disciplines
- Strong knowledge of mathematics topics including algebra, geometry problem solving .
- Understanding of basic Science concepts
- Demonstrated classroom management skills combined with the ability to adapt lessons for different learning styles.
- Experience implementing curriculum development strategies aligned with educational standards and regulations.
- Proficiency in integrating IT tools into lessons for enhanced student engagement and learning outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, students, parents, and administrative staff.
