Saint Joseph's Medical Center is seeking a compassionate Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our pediatric primary care team as a HealthySteps Specialist.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children and families by promoting healthy emotional, social, and physical development from birth through age 5. As part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team, you'll work alongside physicians, nurses, and other clinicians to provide family-centered behavioral health services, developmental guidance, and early intervention support.
Position Highlights:

- ๐ MondayโFriday, 9:00 AMโ5:00 PM, with one 11:00 AMโ7:00 PM evening per week
- ๐ฅ 1199 Union position with union benefits
- ๐ฐ LMSW: $78,624.00 annually | LCSW: $89,856.00 annually

Responsibilities:
- Provide psychosocial assessments, behavioral health screenings, and brief interventions.
- Support families with developmental guidance, parenting concerns, and early childhood behavioral health.
- Coordinate referrals and connect families with community resources.
- Manage a patient caseload and collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Participate in care conferences, treatment planning, and patient education.
- Document assessments, interventions, and follow-up care within the electronic medical record.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Work
- Active New York State LMSW or LCSW license
- 2โ3 years of experience in early childhood development, behavioral health, or family-centered services
- Experience working with children ages 0โ5 and their caregivers
- Strong communication, collaboration, and motivational interviewing skills
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
