Laboratory Informaticist (Oracle Health/Cerner PathNet)

Saint Joseph's Medical Center is seeking an experienced Laboratory Informaticist to serve as the primary liaison between our Clinical Laboratory and Information Technology teams. This is an excellent opportunity for a laboratory professional with strong Oracle Health (Cerner) PathNet expertise who is passionate about improving laboratory operations, technology, and patient care.

Schedule:
- Monday β Friday
- 9:00 AM β 5:00 PM
- 24/7 on-call responsibilities as required
What You'll Do:
- Serve as the subject matter expert for Oracle Health (Cerner) Millennium PathNet.
- Design, configure, implement, optimize, and support laboratory information system (LIS) workflows.
- Support General Laboratory, Microbiology, Blood Bank, Anatomic Pathology, Point-of-Care Testing, specimen collection, result reporting, and reference laboratory workflows.
- Manage laboratory instrument interfaces, analyzer connectivity, middleware, and Medical Device Interfaces (MDIs).
- Partner with Laboratory, Nursing, Pathology, Revenue Cycle, and IT leadership to improve workflow efficiency, regulatory compliance, and patient safety.
- Lead laboratory system upgrades, implementations, testing, validation, and end-user training.
- Ensure compliance with CLIA, New York State Department of Health, and Joint Commission standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Health Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related healthcare field.
- Minimum of 5 years of Oracle Health (Cerner) Millennium experience.
- Direct experience supporting Oracle Health PathNet configuration, implementation, and optimization.
- Experience with laboratory workflows, Medical Device Interfaces (MDIs), laboratory instrument integration, and analyzer connectivity.
- Clinical laboratory experience as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist is strongly preferred.
- Oracle Health PathNet Certification and ASCP certification are preferred.
