Some of the job responsabilities of the Business Office Manager (BOM):
- The BOM is responsible for managing all aspects and functions of the business systems in the facility.
- Ensure record of daily collections for cash receipts and deposit to appropriate account.
- Ensure accurate posting of daily census including validating payor source for residents.
- Establish and maintain communication with patients, family members and others responsible for payment of services, keeping all parties current as to the status of the account.
- Generates and processes timely billing of all payer classes per policy. Candidates MUST have specific experience in healthcare, ideally in long term/skilled nursing care. Candidates that do not have specific billing and healthcare billing experience will not be considered for the position.
- Establish controls to assure accuracy and timeliness of month end close. Complete month-end close adhering to policy.
- Maintain collection results that meet and/or exceed corporate standards for all payers.
- Prior Business Office experience with a minimum of 2-year supervisory experience.
- Prior long-term, skilled nursing care third party billing and collection experience.
- Knowledge of federal and state regulatory standards.
- Ability to read, write and assimilate reports, business correspondence, and procedure. Strong computer skills are a must. Point Click Care (PCC) experience is a plus!
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of executives, managers, clients, customers, residents, family members and the public.
