What will I do as a Meaningful Life Coordinator in our Green House Homes?
- Provide each Green House home with a supply of common materials for indoor and outdoor recreation and diversions.
- Provides ongoing mentoring to the shahbazim in diversion and recreational environment. This includes the planning, scheduling, and follow though of programs.
- Completes an in depth assessment of each elder and provides specific materials or opportunities identified through the assessment.
- Participates in the care planning for elders needs and attend the meetings.
- Maintains documentation in accordance with the organization's policies.
- Assures that appropriate and meaningful group and individual activities are available to the elders in the Green House home.
- Includes families in the planning process.
- Evaluates the effectiveness pf programs and activities.
- Continued communication with the shahbaz about what their ideas and where the meaningful life coordinator can help support them in achieving their goals.
- Orders, distributes and maintains the Green House activity supply.
- Provide intergenerational opportunities
- Plan and execute large family events
- Ensure monthly house council meetings occur.
- Manage meaningful life budget
- Oversee the voting process-registering elders to vote, requesting absentee ballots, communicating with family members, and scheduling/executing the actual voting day
- Manage photos and media, including elder media consents
- Create and distribute monthly newsletter
- Build and maintain positive public relations through community relationships with groups such as public library, schools, churches, community centers, and youth groups.
- Support religious services
- 1:1 elder support
- Assisting with the planning and execution of outings with shahbazim. This includes driving the van/bus as needed.
