Full Time/Part Time On Call/Substitute Total Hours Per Week From Salary $17.00 To Salary $17.00
Job Summary: On-Call/Substitute
The On-Call Teacher Assistant assists the classroom teacher in the absence of the Teacher Assistant in carrying out the academic and behavioral objectives set forth in the child’s IEP by providing direct instructional services to students and performing non-teaching support duties under the supervision of the classroom teacher.
Duties & Responsibilities
The Teacher Aide assists the classroom teacher in carrying out the academic and behavioral objectives set forth in the child’s IEP by performing non-teaching support duties under the supervision of the classroom teacher.
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent. Must have a Child Development Associate* (CDA) Certificate or 12 credits in Early Childhood Special Education, or must obtain a Child Development Associate* or 12 credits in Early Childhood Special Education within 1 year from the date of hire. *CDA must be awarded by Council for Professional Recognition
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties for this job, the employee is required to communicate clearly and effectively. The employee is required to stand; use mobility and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
