As a Technical Service Engineer , you will play a key role in providing packaging machinery technical support , including troubleshooting, repairs, and customer support at beverage production plants. You may also assist with machinery assembly, electrical programming, testing, and development at Our Client’s manufacturing locations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Travel 80%-90% (domestic and international), sometimes on short notice. Occasional on-call, weekend, or overtime work required (~1500 direct hours annually).
- Maintain a professional and customer-focused demeanor while representing Our Client in customer facilities and during travel.
- Apply expertise in packaging machinery and carton technology for installation, startup, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ensure line integration and seamless operation between machinery and production lines.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, pneumatic schematics, and electrical schematics ; create sketches and modifications for part fabrication.
- Build strong customer relationships by proactively addressing concerns and improving their experience with Our Client’s machinery.
- Participate in customer factory acceptance tests, operator training, and product evaluations at both manufacturing and customer locations.
- Support the development of training programs and technical manuals , recommending improvements for safety, operation, and maintenance documentation.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering and customer teams to resolve machinery issues, develop product improvements, and enhance machine performance.
- Ensure compliance with engineering change procedures and maintain proper documentation.
- Manage and submit expense reports, service reports, and travel expenses in a timely manner.
- Adhere to OSHA safety training requirements and all company / customer safety policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
