Job Duties
- Oversee implementation of engineering change management processes including mapping and analyzing workflows, training employees and managing stakeholder expectations.
- Create new or modify existing processes to improve operational effectiveness.
- Evaluate existing business processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure effectiveness and identify areas for further optimization.
- Facilitate the change management process
- Lead cross-functional teams through process improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with Tier 2/3 sustainment and operations engineering teams to integrate new processes.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends and support decision-making regarding process improvements.
- Create clear process documentation and reports to communicate process changes and performance metrics.
- Coordinate task requirements with program managers, Tier 2/3 sustainment and operations engineering teams, and logistics team to support program strategy/objectives.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or computer science with five (5) years relevant experience in process or program management.
- Proficiency in project management practices and tools.
- Experience with Program/Project management of US Navy engineering and systems efforts highly desired.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification highly desired.
- Experience with the Navy Modernization Process and fielding Navy systems including use of web based repositories.
- Understanding of PEO Digital / NAVWAR / NIWC Pacific/Atlantic / Naval Network Warfare Command (NAVNETWARCOM) organizational structure, processes, programs of records and mission focus.
- Analytical skills Ability to analyze complex data and identify patterns to identify process issues.
- Project management skills Manage process improvement projects from initiation to completion.
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process optimization techniques.
