Position Summary: This position manages production releases for the fabrication department CNC machines, for the manufacturing of low and medium voltage switchgear power distribution systems assigned by Production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Receive design files from Engineering to create cutlists for manufacturing
• Batch releases of tooled parts according to bill of materials provided by Engineering
• Verify part tooling and machining to ensure clean manufacturing process
• Determine priority of cutlist parts to release to production floor departments (Fabrication, Wiring and Assembly)
• Generate part traveler with barcodes for Production and Inventory teams
• Move release from planning into production via Jobscope
• Maintain work area in clean, safe and organized manner
• Email communication to departments to follow up on released jobs
• Opening and closing CR’s from the log on a daily basis
• Regular in-person attendance is an essential function of this job

Education and/or Experience                                           

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Knowledge and Skills:

·         Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook), Jobscope

·         Positive attitude, team player, good attendance

·         Understands how to read a bill of materials

·         Is fluent with the Creo viewer software and how to navigate a 3D model

·         Must be able to read, write and converse fluently in English with the level of competency that will permit the applicant to function in the position (i.e., collaborate with managers, colleagues and vendors through in-person or virtual meetings, troubleshooting, outsourcing projects and email communication)
