What are the responsibilities and job description for the CARING BILINGUAL PATIENT SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE position at Sahara Medical Institute?
Who We Are
Sahara Medical Institute is a privately owned, faith-based pediatric primary care practice in the heart of Las Vegas. We exist to provide exceptional, personalized care to children while living out the values of compassion, integrity, and community. This is more than a clinic — it's a place where families feel heard, valued, and genuinely cared for.
The Opportunity
Our patients are children. They come to us scared. Their parents come to us worried. The first face they see is yours.
We are looking for someone who understands that a warm smile, a remembered name, and a calm presence can change the entire experience for a family in a hard moment. If you are driven by something greater than a paycheck — if service is something you live, not just something you do — we want to meet you.
We value a servant's heart over a polished resume.
You Are the Right Fit If...
- You go out of your way to help people, even when it's not technically your job
- You don't consider any task beneath you if it serves the patient or the team
- You are honest, even when it's uncomfortable
- You welcome feedback and use it to grow
- You want to build a career in healthcare, not just fill a position
- You are fluent in both English and Spanish and understand the trust that comes with speaking someone's language
What Humility Looks Like Here
We are a team that holds each other accountable with grace. We are not perfect, but we are transparent. We ask for the same in return. If you thrive in environments where ego is checked at the door and the patient always comes first, you will feel at home here.
What You'll Do
- Be the first point of contact for patients and families — set the tone for their entire visit
- Manage scheduling, referrals, and patient flow efficiently
- Answer high call volumes with patience and professionalism
- Verify insurance and process payments accurately
- Collect copayments and outstanding balances
- Maintain patient records in eClinicalWorks (ECW)
- Communicate care plans and instructions in both English and Spanish
What We're Looking For
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
- Previous medical office experience (preferred)
- Familiarity with ECW or similar EHR systems (a plus)
- Knowledge of insurance verification and medical coding (preferred)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask calmly in a fast-paced environment
What We Offer
- $16–$17.50/hour | Full-time | Monday–Friday | No nights, no weekends
- Health, dental, and vision insurance
- 401(k) with matching
- Paid time off and paid holidays
- Real opportunities for advancement
- A supportive, family-like culture that invests in your growth — personally and professionally
