AVAILABLE: Immediately
SHIFT: 3-4 hours per day, Monday - Friday when school is in session and meals are served, August - May
COMPENSATION: $ 14.26- $16.35per hour
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school graduate or GED
- Ability to work cooperatively with all employees, students and parents
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Familiar with and/or capable of learning cash register operation (Meal Magic)
- Punctual and excellent attendance record
- Good organizational skills with the ability to plan ahead and keep track of multiple tasks
- Ability to work independently, efficiently, and accurately under tight time constraints
- Knowledge of Health Department Regulations for safe food handling and sanitation
- Knowledge of School Food Service Basics preferred
- Patient and welcoming demeanor toward children
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, including bending, twisting, pushing and pulling carts, standing at the serving window for duration of lunch periods and lifting up to 40 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to stand for long periods of time or the majority of the shift.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist and/or operate all kitchen equipment as needed
- Assist with daily food preparation
- Help serve or cashier during lunch periods
- Capable of completing all general kitchen duties efficiently, including preparation, serving, clean up, washing pots and pans, washing dishes, putting stock away
- Complete temperature charts and production records as needed
- Any other duties which may be assigned

Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform the essential physical functions of the position, which may include bending, twisting, reaching, pushing or pulling, lifting and carrying materials or equipment up to approximately 50 pounds, and standing or walking for extended periods of time.
