SHIFT: 4 hours per day, Monday - Friday when school is in session and meals are served, August - May
COMPENSATION: $14.26- $16.35 per hour
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school graduate or GED
- ServSafe Certification Preferred or must be willing to acquire certification after hire.
- Ability to work cooperatively with all employees, students and parents.
- Familiar with and/or capable of learning cash register operations point of sale system.
- Punctual and excellent attendance record
- Good organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, efficiently, quickly and accurately under tight time constraints
- Knowledge of Health Department Regulations for safe food handling and sanitation
- Knowledge of School Food Service Basics preferred
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, including bending, twisting and lifting up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, ability to push on a regular basis, ability to push and/or pull loaded carts and stand for long periods of time without accommodations.
- Pre-placement physical screening to include agility will be required at the expense of the employer for new hires.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with general kitchen production including cooking and baking.
- Prepare, assist with set up, serving or cashiering and clean up for breakfast.
- Keep accurate records of production.
- Fill in for assistant cook when needed.
- Keep work space and equipment clean and organized.
- Capable of completing all general kitchen and baking duties efficiently; preparation; serving and clean up.
- Assist with serving line set up for meal service.
- Cashier or assist with serving during lunch periods.
- Assist with tear down and general clean up after meal service.
- Application of individual student deposits if necessary.
- Other duties which may be assigned.
