Summary:
We’re excited to add another Server/Runner/Busser to our morning/evening/overnight team at Saginaw’s Delicatessen located in the Circa Resort & Casino. We are a fast casual delicatessen/diner open 24/7 and serving amazing food from our scratch kitchen. If you are available mornings, evenings and/or overnights, have a passion for food, are lazer-focused on customers, prefer a busy shift, are a bit of a neat freak and believe we are Better Together, we’d love to hear from you!
Skills/Experience/Personal Characteristics:
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must be available mornings/afternoons/evenings or overnight.
- Speaks fluent English
- Passionate about food, service, systems, listening and training
- Restaurant experience preferred
- Keeps emotions in check during busy, stressful times
- Ability to work both independently as well as in a team environment
- Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns using Saginaw’s Service Standards
- Possesses basic math skills
- Brings a high level of energy to the job and thrives in a fast-paced environment

Primary Responsibilities: (Additional duties will be assigned)
- Use our approach to Customer Service with every interaction
- Greet and deliver food/beverages to Customers at the proper table, at the proper time, quickly, efficiently and in a friendly manner
- Work as a Team with all staff members
- Answer questions and educate guests about the history of Saginaw’s Delicatessen
- Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas for cleanliness and functionality. Make recommendations for maintenance, repair and upkeep
- Ensure tables, chairs, displays, counters, sinks, utensils, shelving and storage areas are clean, orderly, and complies with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards at all times. Clean spills, re-stock and wipe down tables, chairs, sweep floors etc.
- Clear and sanitize tables and bring all dirty dishes and utensils to the kitchen for cleaning.
- Stock supplies such as napkins, utensils and other supplies
Also please note that this job requires:
- The ability to work in an environment that may be unusually hot, cold, noisy and may contain second-hand smoke
- Proven problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional customer service to everyone
- The ability to stand and walk around a restaurant for 8-10 hours as well as bend, stoop, and raise arms above head on occasion
- The ability to lift 50 pounds and carry heavy trays
- The availability to work nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays
- Finger/hand dexterity to operate restaurant equipment, knives, etc.
- Must possess hearing, visual and sensory abilities to observe and detect emergency situations; also to distinguish product, taste, texture, temperature, presentation and preparation.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
