Job Title: Front Desk Agent
Reports To: Front Desk Manager
Job Summary: The Front Desk Agent is responsible for checking guests in and out of the Hotel. They greet and register guests when they arrive to check in. Our Front Desk Agents also assign rooms, issue room keys, make welcome calls, issue discount cards, pamphlets, take room service orders from customers, and provide recommendations for entertainment in town.
The Front Desk Agent is also responsible for mentioning all the rules and regulations of the Hotel when a guest checks in. They should be able to communicate any information to the guest about the Hotel itself and have a comprehensive knowledge of the surrounding area.
Job Duties:
- Make reservations over the phone, making electronic reservations &respond to email inquiries
- Patiently answer all inquiries of our guests and assist them in every way possible, so as to give the guests maximum customer satisfaction
- Occasionally our guests wish to extend or cancel their reservations, which might require considerable effort in order to fit their requirements during our busy season
- Inform Housekeeping when rooms are vacated in order to prepare for our next guest
- Develops and maintains office forms and procedures, and assists with administrative tasks
- Receives the public and answers questions, in person and by telephone; responds to inquiries from employees, citizens and others and refers, when necessary, to the appropriate person, official or department
- Composes, types and edits correspondence, reports, memoranda and other material.
- Maintain Hotel room inventory
- Collect payments from guests
Qualifications:
- Must be able to communicate in a professional manner with guests, vendors, and colleagues
- Maintain professional appearance and manner at all times
Self-starting personality with an even disposition
Shift Availability 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
