Senior Technology Risk Advisor | Salary Range: $115K to 123K ~$15K Bonus | Dallas, TX
Sage Search Partners is seeking a Senior Technology Risk Advisor for a leading IT consulting company based in Dallas, Texas. This role is responsible for serving as a cybersecurity subject matter expert, evaluating contractor cybersecurity programs, supporting clients with technical risk-related guidance, and helping enhance cybersecurity service offerings.
The ideal candidate will bring a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems or a related field, along with at least 3 years of experience in cybersecurity. In addition to strong knowledge of cybersecurity laws, regulations, standards, and emerging risks, the right person will have excellent communication, presentation, project management, and organizational skills, be comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and possess strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Preferred certifications include cloud technology credentials, CRVPM, CRISC, or related cybersecurity, insurance, or risk management designations. Responsibilities
- Serve as the cybersecurity expert in meetings with clients and suppliers/contractors across various company locations.
- Conduct desktop reviews and assessments of cybersecurity policies, procedures, programs, and supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with internal teams to strengthen and expand cybersecurity-related products and service capabilities.
- Monitor market developments, research industry trends, and maintain relevant cybersecurity resources to support internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to improve current cybersecurity offerings and recommend enhancements based on data, trends, and available resources.
- Develop practical cybersecurity solutions that address the needs of clients and contractors/suppliers.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aligned with quality and information security standards, including ISO 9001 and ISO 27001.
- Support the company’s broader growth efforts within the cybersecurity marketplace.
- Communicate potential security concerns, incidents, or risks to appropriate internal teams and leadership.
- Assist with additional projects and assignments as directed by management.
Client Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems or a related discipline, or comparable professional experience.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in a cybersecurity-focused role.
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity regulations, industry standards, and compliance expectations.
- Familiarity with current and emerging cyber risks, frameworks, and best practices.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, and internet-based tools.
- Demonstrated ability to handle complex projects and take on increasing levels of responsibility.
- Effective verbal, written, and presentation communication abilities.
- Strong organizational skills with close attention to detail.
- Preferred certifications in cloud technology, vendor/risk program management, or information systems control.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed.
