Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is seeking Physical Therapist Assistant for a travel / contract position in St. Joseph, MO. Accepting both local traveler candidates.

Position Details:

Position Name: Physical Therapist Assistant - Long Term Care (LTC)

Contract Length: 13 weeks contract. Accepting both local and travel candidates 

Pay Rate: Range $1520 to $1600 Weekly Gross pay (Non-taxable travel/housing and M&I stipend available for qualified/eligible travelers)

Shifts available: Days

Schedule: 40 hours per week guaranteed, 5 shifts per week, Mon-Fri, No Weekends, No call 

• Current Physical Therapist Assistant experience: 1 years - Required
  
• LTC or Rehab experience: Highly preferred
  
• Prior travel experience: Highly preferred
  

Education, License and Certification Requirements:

• PTA License for State of Missouri or Compact - Required
  
• BLS Certification from AHA  - Required
  

Job Description:

• PTAs implement components of patient care, obtain data related to the treatments provided, and collaborate with the PT to modify care as necessary.
  
• PTAs assist the physical therapist in the treatment of individuals of all ages, from newborns to people at the end of life.
  
• Help patients stretch and exercise certain muscle groups
  
• Read instructions from Physical Therapist
  
• Work directly with Physical Therapist to assist patients
  
• Speak with families to find best at-home techniques
  
• Keep physical therapy clean and organized
  
• Move patients from wheelchairs or walkers to physical therapy area
  
• Complete administrative tasks, like scheduling appointments and filing paperwork
  
• Teach patients techniques like balance training
