Senior Accountant- Payroll and Internal Audit
📍 Location: Brentwood, TN
Position Overview
This role manages accurate and timely payroll preparation, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations while coordinating with HR and Operations to resolve discrepancies. It performs internal audits of AR, AP, and Accessorial processes by reviewing documentation for completeness, accuracy, and control adherence, escalating issues and supporting remediation. The position maintains strong internal controls, audit checklists, and documentation standards to ensure audit readiness. It collaborates across departments to address exceptions, provide guidance, and reduce recurring issues through training. During month-end close, the role prepares journal entries, supports reconciliations for payroll-related accounts, and provides audit insights to strengthen financial accuracy.

Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance
Two plus years of accounting experience, understanding of reconciliations
Audit Experience
Payroll Experience (UKG Ready is a plus)
Microsoft Dynamics Experience
Excel Knowledge
CPA Preferred
Pay & Benefits
💵 Pay range from $65,000 to $75,000 depending on experience
Position will be reviewed for bonus eligibility after completion of initial probationary period.
