Job description:
Job Summary: Sage Dermatology and Mohs Surgery is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant who has previous Dermatology Experience. This is a PRN part-time position. Hours ranging from 8-24 hours per week. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care while managing the day-to-day MA tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a medical office setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Room Patients
- Re-set Patient Rooms
- Walk Patient’s Out and verify consents are signed and care instructions relayed
- Biopsy/Surgery Assist
- Check out patients without charges
- Chart and send out labs and biopsies
- Clean patient rooms - end of day
- Check MA voicemails
- Schedule patients next appointment or set next recall
- Laundry
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in medical assistance, customer service, or a similar fields.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and office procedures.
- Experience handling medical billing and insurance verification is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical assisting certification or prior medical office experience preferred.
- Customer service experience is highly desired.
