What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Sales Advisor – Cbus Media Group position at SAGA Communications?
What if your “work” meant grabbing lunch at some of Columbus’s best restaurants, checking out cool local attractions, and getting paid to tell business owners about something that genuinely helps them grow?
That’s pretty much this job.
We’re looking for a people-person who loves this city, knows the local scene, and wants to make some real extra income on their own schedule. You’ll work directly with Columbus restaurants, entertainment venues, and local destinations — connecting them with a simple, proven concept that turns their unused gift certificates and experiences into new customers and real revenue.
You don’t need a marketing degree. You don’t need to work 40 hours a week. You need to love people, love Columbus, and love a good conversation.
What Your Days Actually Look Like:
You’re out in the city — visiting restaurants you probably already eat at, talking to owners and managers about something that genuinely works, building relationships with the people who make this town great. Most of your work happens on your terms, on your schedule, in places you actually want to be.
Why People Love This Role:
- Work when you want — seriously flexible, mostly remote
- Get paid well when you close — solid commission with real upside
- No corporate nonsense — just conversations and relationships
- You become the person who knows everyone in Columbus hospitality
- Did we mention you’ll basically be eating and exploring the city for work?
You’re Probably a Fit If:
- You’re a natural connector — people just like talking to you
- You know Columbus and love its restaurant and entertainment scene
- You’ve worked in hospitality, restaurants, or customer-facing roles
- You’re self-driven and don’t need someone looking over your shoulder
- You want extra income without a second job that feels like a second job
