Sag Harbor Tavern, the sister restaurant to Red Hook Tavern, brings classic American tavern fare to the waterfront village of Sag Harbor. Built on the same foundation of thoughtful cooking and genuine hospitality, the kitchen focuses on high-quality ingredients, strong technique, and a menu centered around exceptional seafood from the surrounding waters.

We’re looking for a prep cook to join the team. This role is essential to the success of the kitchen, supporting daily prep and helping ensure service runs smoothly and efficiently.

The Role
You’ll work closely with the Chef and kitchen team to prepare ingredients, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and support the flow of service.

What You’ll Do
Prepare and portion ingredients for service with accuracy and consistency
Follow recipes, prep lists, and direction from the kitchen leadership team
Label, date, and properly store all products
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient prep station
Assist line cooks and chefs as needed during service
Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing deliveries

What We’re Looking For
Previous kitchen experience preferred, but not required
Strong attention to detail and organization
Ability to work efficiently and follow direction
Team-oriented with a positive, professional attitude
Reliable and punctual
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
