JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage change management process, including but not limited to rework, obsolescence cost, scrap cost, supplier notification, and Corrective Actions (CA) with a structured methodology/process;
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify, gather, and analyze operational information;
• Coordinate change requests (after originator does value trade analysis) with Project Engineer (Project Engineer Rep.), Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Program Manager, Tooling, and Supply Chain;
• Set serialization of engineering change requests based on Change Control Board (CCB) analysis of inventory levels, cost, lead-time for planning, tooling, and sourcing;
• Manage cost structures and budgetary impact of proposed changes;
• Create streamline CCB process and ensure training is completed for all departments;
• Monitor assignments for daily work for the research of CCB requests to the Change Management Coordinator in order to support the daily CCB meetings;
• Lead CCB through the daily work flow of changes in release, capturing comments, and notes for the CCB;
• Define metrics and measure performance to support operating system and drive continuous improvement;
• Manage communication between engineering change requests to all departments affected, including but not limited to: CCB containment and rework team, Manufacturing Planning, Supply Chain, Production Control & Logistics (PC&L) and Production; and
• Performs other duties as assigned.
The Change Management Manager has two (2) direct reports:
• Change Management Administrator
• Change Management Coordinator
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Mathematics; • 3 years of experience in one or a combination of the following areas: o Project, o Design, o Program, o Team environment/exposure, or o Manufacturing process; • 3 years of management or project management experience; • 3 years of experience being team oriented; • 3 years of experience reading and understanding engineering blue prints and parts list; • 3 years of experience in tooling design and tooling types; • 3 years of experience in production process, including sequence and flow, process capability, material characteristics, and sourcing strategy; • 3 years of experience with high school math, basic trigonometry, algebra, and geometry; • 3 years of experience in the area of computer software for inventory management, production, data management, and Excel; • 3 years of experience with organizational, communication, and collaboration skills to work in the entire value stream; • 3 years of experience leading team projects successfully; • 3 years of experience in business management, analytics, and statistics; and • 3 years of experience problem solving and thinking analytically. • Requires up to 20% international and domestic travel. • Experience may be gained concurrently.Head of Change Management - Americas
