Now in its eigth year, we’ve opened our sister restaurant, The Kingsway, also a michelin recommended restaurant. Founded by Arvinder and Pardeep Vilkhu, who immigrated from India to New Orleans in 1984, Saffron merges Indian heritage with Louisiana’s rich culinary traditions. Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Host to join the team at our on-site location in New Orleans. The Host will be responsible for warmly greeting guests, managing reservations, ensuring smooth seating arrangements, and coordinating with servers to provide exceptional customer service. Additional tasks include maintaining a clean and organized front-of-house area and assisting guests with inquiries about the menu and restaurant services. The Host will play a pivotal role in creating a positive first impression and ensuring a seamless dining experience.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to effectively interact with guests and create welcoming experiences
- Experience in Hospitality, including Food & Beverage knowledge, to assist guests with menu-related inquiries
- Sales and upselling abilities to promote specials and enhance the dining experience
- Training capability to guide new team members when necessary
- Friendly demeanor, a professional attitude, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Prior experience in a hospitality or restaurant environment is a plus but not required
