JOB TITLE: ISS Parapro

REPORTS TO: Principal/Assigned Teacher

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Works in the classroom with students under direct supervision of the teacher.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists in tutoring small groups of students under the direction of the teacher.
• Provides positive reinforcement for students.
• Assists the teacher in maintaining proper classroom control.
• Escorts students to the office upon request.
• Supervises students during lunch and recesses.
• Remains punctual and works assigned schedule.
• Assists in special class presentations, field trips, and activities as requested.
• Demonstrates confidential, professional, and personable demeanor.
• Handles routine clerical work as assigned.
• Prepares instructional materials as requested by the teacher.
• Follows and enforces school and District regulations and policies.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
