Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, and integration of electrical systems within our aerospace and simulation manufacturing environment. This position will play a critical role in the design of electrical systems, schematics, panel layouts, wire harness assemblies, and troubleshooting of control systems used in our mockups and training devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design electrical systems including wiring diagrams, control systems, and harness assemblies.
- Design and integration knowledge of various control systems including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) Panels, Process Controllers (PID), & Smart Relay Systems.
- Collaborate with mechanical and software teams to ensure seamless system integration.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during production phases.
- Support manufacturing teams with electrical system integrations and hardware installation.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support engineering and production goals.
- Qualifications:
- Demonstrated expertise in electrical engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to read, interpret, & create engineering drawings and technical documents.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or accredited training in Engineering or a related field.
- Previous electrical engineering experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong proficiency in 3D-modeling CAD software (Autodesk Inventor & AutoCAD preferred).
- Preferred background in aerospace / simulation engineering and manufacturing.
- Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Visual acuity for reading engineering documents and specifications.
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, in writing and via email / telephone.
- Occasional travel may be required.
