What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Associate I position at SAFETY RAIL COMPANY LLC?
- Pick individual components and parts to combine into single shipment
- Build pallets based on size and type of product needing shipment using hand and power tools
- Utilize technology for processing jobs and communication (Clocking, Inventory, Job Completion, ShipHawk)
- Load and unload all forms of trucking/shipping
- Assist in training employees in the work center with current knowledge base
- Mandatory overtime when business conditions require it
- Adherence to the attendance policy
- All other duties as required
- Shift Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:30pm, overtime may be required.
- Experience in a similar shipping role
- Experience in a construction, field services, or foreman-type role is highly beneficial
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work well with others
- Excellent organizational skills for maintaining inventory levels and stock management
- Problem-solving skills for resolving shipping discrepancies and customer issues
- Applicants must pass a pre-employment physical, drug test, and background check as a prerequisite of employment
