Part Time Porter (Outdoor)

Position: General Cleaner / Porter
Experience Required: 1–3 years in maintenance, housekeeping, or custodial services.
Location: 1 Pershing Rd, Weehawken, NJ 07086
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Part-Time)(20hrs/week)

Responsibilities (Outdoor Pier Setting):

• Maintain cleanliness of outdoor walkways, seating areas, and entry points
• Perform routine sweeping, power washing, and litter pickup throughout pier grounds
• Empty and replace outdoor trash and recycling bins
• Clean and restock outdoor restrooms, if applicable
• Clear debris from docks and surrounding areas to ensure safety and appearance
• Communicate professionally with site supervisors and clients
• Monitor and report any maintenance or safety issues on-site
• Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE as required

Requirements:

• Reliable transportation to and from work site
• Must be comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Physical Requirements: walking and standing during the entire shift (often 4-8 hours), climbing stairs, kneeling to clean floors, pushing and pulling objects, lifting and moving objects (up to 50 lbs), repetitive bending and lifting, and repetitive arm movement.
