Duties
- Safely operate passenger vehicles including vans, shuttle buses, and personal vehicles to transport clients to scheduled medical appointments and community events
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, state transportation regulations, and safety protocols during every trip
- Assist clients with boarding and exiting vehicles, providing courteous and respectful customer service throughout the journey
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections, perform basic maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure vehicle safety and reliability
- Navigate efficiently using GPS navigation systems to follow designated local driving routes and optimize travel times
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding pick-up times, locations, or any changes in schedule while maintaining professionalism
- Handle heavy lifting when necessary for loading or unloading mobility aids or luggage, always prioritizing safety and proper manual handling techniques
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, bus driver, shuttle driver, or chauffeur with a strong understanding of passenger vehicle operation
