About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to manage commercial real estate construction projects across our growing portfolio. This role will manage projects from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to quality standards. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience building a variety of facilities and thrives in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.

About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to manage commercial real estate construction projects across our growing portfolio. This role will manage projects from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to quality standards. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience building a variety of facilities and thrives in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the construction of a variety of facilities from entitlement through final delivery
- Oversee general contractors, subcontractors, architects, and engineers
- Lead pre-construction activities, including budgeting, scheduling, value engineering, and constructability reviews
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and cost controls
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, safety, and quality
- Review and approve pay applications, change orders, and contracts
- Ensure compliance with local codes, zoning requirements, and safety regulations
- Coordinate with internal teams including development, acquisitions, and operations
- Manage project closeout, including punch lists, warranties, and turnover to operations
- 5 years of construction management experience
- Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and sequencing
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with budgeting, cost tracking, and schedule management
- Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam)
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Experience working for a self-storage developer, owner/operator, or GC specializing in storage
- Knowledge of steel buildings, CMU, tilt-up, and climate-controlled storage construction
- OSHA certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
