Company Overview
Safehouse is a 24/7 residential treatment facility currently hiring for our 2nd (3pm-11pm) shift and 3rd (11pm-7am) shift and is looking for dedicated, passionate people who love working with young people. Our residents are assigned here by various county organizations, direct placement or court ordered placements to help learn skills to accomplish a variety of behavior and mental health rehabilitation goals.
Summary
As a Direct Support Professional at Safehouse Residential Services, you will play a vital role in assisting children and adolescents in our care. This position is essential for fostering a supportive environment that promotes the well-being and development of our residents.
Responsibilities
Full time direct care work will require managing a unit of 6 – 12 clients in a residential mental health treatment facility. Residents range in age from 11 – 18. Responsibilities include time management for the residents, getting them from their unit to school, to groups, to meals, and to rec (all of which happen on-site), some transportation to various appointments may be required. Crisis intervention, daily schedule management, and group coordination are also crucial to successful job performance.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has a high school diploma or equivalent, driver's license, can pass a background check (company will provide), able to work weekends, and is 21 . Some other skills we are looking for are computer skills, loyal, hardworking, patient, and able to handle crisis in a calm, even tone and approach. First Aid/CPR training provided, all other qualification training will also be provided on campus during paid training hours.
