We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Alarm Installer to join our team. Duties
- Install and configure low voltage alarm systems such as security alarms, fire alarms, CCTV, sensors, and surveillance equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to ensure accurate system setup.
- Perform cabling and wiring tasks using power tools and hand tools, adhering to NEC standards and safety protocols.
- Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure optimal operation of alarm systems.
- Integrate alarm systems with network infrastructure including computer networking and remote access software.
- Collaborate with clients and team members to assess site requirements and provide technical solutions.
- Maintain detailed documentation of installations, service reports, and system configurations.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as NEC and local building codes during all installation activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician or installer specializing in low voltage systems or security alarm installations.
- Strong electrical experience with knowledge of cabling, schematics, and system design principles.
- Familiarity with computer hardware, networking concepts, remote access software, and telecommunication systems.
- Knowledge of fire alarm systems, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), sensors, CCTV cameras, surveillance equipment, and security systems.
- Ability to operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively in construction or installation environments.
- Mechanical knowledge related to system components and construction practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical or network issues on-site.
- Valid field service experience preferred; locksmithing or alarm system sales experience is a plus.
