Position SummaryThe Manufacturing Engineer / Manufacturing Process Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, evaluating, and continuously improving manufacturing processes, procedures, and equipment to ensure efficient, high-quality, and compliant production operations. This role plays a critical part in optimizing workflows, supporting automation initiatives, managing production costs, and collaborating cross-functionally to support both current manufacturing operations and future growth.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess Design & ImprovementDesign, implement, and refine manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.Analyze production workflows, methods, schedules, and space utilization to optimize manufacturing performance.Apply lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve throughput.Design and support tooling, fixtures, and process improvements.Equipment & AutomationResearch and evaluate automation techniques and new manufacturing technologies.Support selection, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of production equipment, including automated and robotic systems.Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair services to ensure compliance with manufacturer procedures and operational standards.Support planning of factory layouts and equipment placement to optimize production flow.Quality & Cost ControlEvaluate quality control processes and recommend improvements to enhance product and process quality.Design and implement testing methods to ensure product and process reliability.Review and calculate labor, material, and production costs to support management decision-making.Monitor production data, efficiency metrics, and trends to identify improvement opportunities.Compliance & ReportingEnsure manufacturing processes comply with all applicable government laws, regulations, and safety standards.Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing manufacturing data and performance trends.Provide management with data-driven insights to support future production planning and resource requirements.Collaboration & SupportWork closely with design, quality, maintenance, and production teams on new product introductions (NPI).Provide manufacturing engineering support by responding to technical questions and operational requests.Train and guide technicians and production personnel on new processes, equipment, and procedures.Documentation & Continuous LearningCreate and maintain technical documentation, process instructions, and manufacturing databases.Maintain professional and technical knowledge through ongoing training, workshops, and industry best practices.Technical SkillsCAD software proficiencyAutomation systems and manufacturing equipmentProcess optimization and workflow analysisStatistical analysis and data-driven decision-makingLean manufacturing principlesSoft SkillsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsProject management capabilitiesEffective written and verbal communicationLeadership and cross-functional collaborationTypical QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or related field)Manufacturing or process engineering experience preferred (level dependent on experience)Physical & Work Environment RequirementsAbility to work in a manufacturing environment, including standing, walking, and interacting with production equipmentOccasional lifting and use of standard manufacturing tools and equipmentCompany DescriptionSafe Air Technology specializes in the engineering and manufacturing of industrial HVAC/R systems and pressurization equipment.
