What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kennel Technician/Front Desk position at Saddleback Pet Services?
Overview:
We are seeking a new team member to join our kennel! Saddleback Pet Services is an established busy kennel with a great reputation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess relevant experience in handling and caring for pets. Great customer service and communication skills are essential.
Duties:
- Provide daily care for dogs including feeding, watering, and exercising
- Front desk duties including check in and check out, reservations and phone calls
- Clean and sanitize animal living areas, laundry and dishes
- Checking vaccine records and communicating with area veterinary hospitals
- Monitor the health and well-being of animals under care
- Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing
- Handle dogs with care and compassion
- Administer medications, as directed
We are looking for a self-starter that can work independently and multi-task easily. Attention to detail and reliability are a must as the dogs and your coworkers are depending on you! Weekends and holidays are required as we are open 365 days a year. Afternoon to early evening shifts are part of this position.
