Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining daily, weekly and monthly reports for senior management, clients, carriers, and operations. This role will also participate in Lean continuous improvement projects. Analyst will provide guidance and oversight to associate analyst.

Summary
The Brokerage Analyst is part of a team supporting all Saddle Creek Transportation Brokerage operations. Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining daily, weekly and monthly reports for senior management, clients, carriers, and operations. This role will also participate in Lean continuous improvement projects. Analyst will provide guidance and oversight to associate analyst.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Maintain and update daily/weekly/monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and develops new KPIs to meet changing business needs
- Conducts or assists with financial end of the month reporting for Transportation Executive Leadership Team.
- Responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analysis, and dashboards.
- Analyzes KPIs and report metrics for business trends and root causes. Effectively communicates findings to leadership to drive operational continuous improvement and client success.
- Creates, maintains, and communicates SOPs and work instructions.
- Monitors results of operation improvement initiatives.
- Execute strategic initiatives to drive profitable growth in order to deliver company and client goals.
- Implement efficiencies through systemic improvements as identified through various Lean programs, such as VSMs, Gemba Walks, and 5S.
- Must become a proficient user of the SCTS TMS and other related systems and leverage Lean principles to drive efficiencies through systemic improvements.
- Foster a supportive work environment and promote performance and accountability in accordance with our core Saddle Creek values.
- Occasional travel may be required.
Experience and Education
- 3-5 years related experience and/or training in Transportation, Logistics, and/or Business Analytics preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Mathematics, Finance or related field strongly preferred.

- Ability to set priorities, plan, organize, and manage multiple projects
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written to present information to senior management, customers, and vendors
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret policies and contracts
- Fundamental knowledge of Lean principles preferred
- Strong data collection and analytical skills with consistent proclivity to accuracy and attention to detail
- Once trained, must be able to work autonomously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel and Smartsheet for data analysis, project management, and collaboration
- Experience in ServiceNow or similar automated business workflow software.
- Excellent organizational, time management and project management skills; must be able to multi-task, problem-solve, prioritize and work under pressure
