Volunteer Coordinator

Faith Home Health and Hospice is looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to join our Hospice team on a Part Time basis. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about hospice care and committed to providing exceptional support to patients and their families.

As a Volunteer Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping patients and caregivers navigate emotional, social, and practical challenges of end-of-life care. This is a Part Time position 10-15 hours a week with flexible scheduling.

POSITION SUMMARY

As a Volunteer Coordinator you will:

• Demonstrate a understanding of death and dying and compassionately understand the needs of hospice clients.
• Recruit and retain a sufficient number of hospice volunteers to meet patient and organizational needs.
• Develop community partnerships with churches, schools, civic groups, retirement communities, and local organizations.
• Coordinate volunteer outreach events and recruitment campaigns.
• Promote awareness of hospice volunteer opportunities throughout the community.
• Attend Hospice Interdisciplinary meetings (IDT) and act as liaison between volunteers an IDT.
• Be adept at communication and collaboration.
• Other duties as assigned by Director.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma required, college graduate preferred
• A minimum of 2 years experience in volunteer activities (Hospice preferred)
• Experience in community volunteer service
• Computer experience including knowledge of Microsoft Suite
• Participate in preemployment and annual Tuberculosis screening.
