Job Title: High School Security Officer (2 PM – 10 PM)
Location: Sacred Heart Academy
Reports To: Director of Security
Hours: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Monday–Friday
Position Overview
Sacred Heart Academy is seeking a reliable and professional Security Officer to help maintain a safe, welcoming, and orderly environment for our students, staff, and visitors. This position covers the afternoon and evening hours, including after-school programs and events.
Responsibilities
- Patrol school grounds, buildings, and parking areas to ensure safety and security.
- Monitor entrances and exits, ensuring only authorized individuals are on campus.
- Respond promptly and calmly to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies.
- Enforce school policies and procedures in a fair and respectful manner.
- Assist with traffic and crowd control during after-school activities and events.
- Write clear and accurate incident and daily activity reports, respond to required email notifications.
- Work cooperatively with school administration and local law enforcement when needed.
- Operate the Visitor Management System
- Assume any additional responsibilities as deemed appropriate by the Director of Security
Qualifications
- High school diploma required.
- Prior experience in law enforcement or military preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional, courteous, and dependable demeanor.
- Ability to remain calm and take initiative in stressful situations.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
- Ability to respond quickly across campus when needed.
