Job Overview
We are seeking a Barista/Baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and a love for coffee and baking ensuring that every beverage and dessert is crafted to perfection.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and food items.
- Prepare and bake a variety of dessert options
- Operate POS system and cash handling
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
- Assist with food preparation and serving, ensuring all items meet our quality standards.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including basic math calculations for change.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or strong coffee knowledge is required
- Previous baking experience and knowledge is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy setting.
- Strong sales ability with an understanding of retail math concepts.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and food handling regulations within the food industry.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
