We are seeking a Senior Accountant (QuickBooks Expert) to support the accounting and billing operations of a complex, multi-facility RCFE organization. Please note: This is a full time (Mon-Fri), in person, 1099 paid position.
This is an accounting role with added responsibility for resident services coordination and operational follow-through. It is not a small-business bookkeeping position and a onsite and in person role. The ideal candidate is strong in QuickBooks, comfortable managing A/R in a complex environment, detail-oriented, takes initiative, and follows tasks through to completion.
Candidates must have advanced, hands-on QuickBooks Online experience and a working knowledge of how transactions flow through the system.

Core Focus of This Role
The primary focus of this position is accounting, billing accuracy, and accounts receivable management using QuickBooks Online, with secondary responsibilities supporting resident onboarding, collections follow-up, and placement coordination and paperwork assistance.
Minimum Qualifications
- Expert-level QuickBooks Online experience
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on QuickBooks use
- Experience supporting complex, multi-entity or multi-location organizations
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Invoicing across multiple payers or programs
- Payment posting based on bank deposits
- A/R aging review and follow-up
- Reconciliations and financial reporting
- Comfortable using advanced QuickBooks features, including custom reports and troubleshooting
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
Primary Responsibilities – Accounting & Billing
- Prepare and support invoicing and billing using QuickBooks Online
- Post and apply payments accurately
- Maintain and review accounts receivable aging
- Assist with reconciliations and reporting
- Identify billing discrepancies and follow through to resolution
- Support audit and compliance documentation
- Support and track collections efforts through consistent follow-up on past-due balances, documentation of actions taken, and coordination aimed at reducing overall accounts receivable aging
Secondary Responsibilities – Resident Services & Operations Support
- Assist with onboarding residents and families following placement, focused on:
- Billing processes, Documentation requirements, Payment expectations
- Communicate directly with residents, families, and responsible parties to resolve billing questions, documentation needs, and payment-related issues
- Serve as a liaison between: Accounting, RCFE homes, Bed lease homes, Operations, Placement
- Support placement by assisting with: Paperwork and packet preparation, Document organization, Follow-up on missing items
- Track issues across communication channels and follow through until resolved
Relevant Experience Preferred
Experience working with seniors, assisted living, RCFE, healthcare administration, or social services environments. Familiarity with insurance, benefits, or administrative processes for individuals or families.
Additional Expectations
This role supports a dynamic operation, and additional duties related to accounting, resident services, or placement support may be assigned as needed as business needs evolve. Flexibility and adaptability are important to success in this role.
This role is fully onsite and in person.
