The EHR Analyst I (Epic/OCHIN) is a mid-level role responsible for supporting the implementation, optimization, and ongoing management of the organization’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, with a primary focus on OCHIN Epic.
This position plays a key role in the Epic implementation lifecycle, including workflow design, system configuration, testing, training, and go-live support. Following implementation, the Analyst will provide ongoing system optimization, advanced troubleshooting, and support for clinical and operational workflows as well as escalation point by Clinical App Coordinators, IS Specialists and organizational super users.
Essential Functions:
- Epic / OCHIN Implementation & Optimization
- Actively participate in all phases of the OCHIN Epic implementation, including:
- Workflow analysis and redesign
- System configuration (Epic build activities)
- Integrated and user acceptance testing
- Go-live planning and support
- Partner with OCHIN and internal stakeholders to align system design with organizational workflows and regulatory requirements
- Support post-go-live optimization, enhancements, and stabilization efforts
- System Configuration & Advanced Support
- Configure, test, and maintain Epic modules under guidance of senior analysts and OCHIN standards
- Manage system build components such as:
- Order sets, templates, SmartTools, and workflows
- Provide Tier 2 support, including troubleshooting complex workflow and system issues
- Identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions
- Maintain detailed system documentation and build records
- Workflow Analysis & Ownership
- Lead workflow assessments with clinical and operational teams
- Translate business and clinical requirements into system design and configuration
- Recommend and implement workflow improvements aligned with Epic best practices
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for assigned functional areas
- Training & End-User Enablement
- Develop and deliver training content for Epic workflows and system changes

- Provide ongoing support to end users, reinforcing standard workflows and adoption
- Partner with operational leaders to improve user proficiency and system utilization
- Project & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Participate in cross-functional project teams supporting EHR-related initiatives
- Manage assigned tasks, timelines, and deliverables within larger projects
- Support onboarding of new staff related to Epic workflows and system use
- Act as liaison between clinical staff, IT, and external partners (OCHIN)
- Data Integrity & Reporting Support
- Support data validation, workflow accuracy, and data integrity initiatives
- Assist with reporting validation and quality measure alignment (e.g., UDS, HEDIS)
- Collaborate with analytics teams to ensure workflows support accurate reporting.
- Participate in internal quality improvement teams. Works with team members proactively to drive quality
improvement initiatives in accordance with the mission and strategic goals for the organization, federal and state laws and regulations, and accreditation standards.
- Compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations, as they pertain to position including; HIPAA, sexual harassment, scope of practice, OSHA, etc.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience supporting EHR systems, clinical applications, or healthcare workflows
- Experience in a healthcare environment (FQHC or ambulatory care preferred)
- Demonstrated experience with workflow analysis and system support
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to obtain Epic Certification(s) in assigned module(s)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Information Systems (or equivalent experience)
- Experience with Epic Systems, preferably through OCHIN Epic
- Familiarity with:
- Clinical workflows (Medical, Dental, Behavioral Health)
- Regulatory programs (UDS, HEDIS, Meaningful Use/Promoting Interoperability)
- Experience with system configuration, templates, or clinical content build
- Basic SQL, Tableau and Clarity reporting
- Experience in an FQHC setting
Salary : $98,000 - $115,000
