The Senior Tax Accountant position at Sackett Financial Group plays an integral role in our growing tax and accounting firm. Our clients represent a wide variety of professions and industries and look to us to be their trusted advisor, so this position requires delivering exceptional accounting and tax expertise, while also providing clients with a caring and comfortable experience.We are looking for an outstanding professional who seeks to improve the businesses and lives of our clients and our staff; a candidate who is analytical, driven, efficient and possesses the skills necessary to work successfully with a wide variety of clients and industries.  This position is responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of business and individual income tax returns, as well as, the preparation of client's financial statements, journal entries, and reconciliation of general ledgers.  The Senior Tax Accountant will have continual direct contact with clients in-person, by phone and email.Technical Skills Required:3 years of public accounting including preparation of financial statements3 years’ experience in preparing business and individual income tax returns (1120 C&S, 1065, 1040 & 1041)3 years’ experience QuickBooks experience·       Working knowledge of tax code and tax regulationsResearch IRS, FTB & state correspondence and prepare responsesSkills Required to be considered for this role:CPA or Enrolled Agent license in good standingBachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalentAbility to develop and maintain strong client relationships with a dedication to superior client serviceExcellent analytical, organizational, time management and interpersonal skillsSuperior project management skills with experience managing multiple clients and engagements as well as competing prioritiesStrong oral and written communication skillsHighly detail oriented and resourcefulAbility to be a team player who can also work independentlyDesire to advance careerFull benefits package includes:Compensation range: $80,000 to $120,000 per year DOEVacation, Sick and Holiday paid time offMedical, Dental, Vision, Life and Supplemental InsuranceFlex Spending and Health Savings Accounts401K with matchingOther benefits include:·       Tax season work hours: max 55 hours per week·       Career advancement with bonus incentives·       Paid Continuing Education and Professional Dues·       Monthly Birthday lunch celebrations·       Seasonal gatherings and potlucks·       Annual company holiday party·       After tax season bowling party·       Awesome facilities with gym, basketball, racquet ball and pickle ball courts·       Fun, friendly and professional environmentThis is an in-office Monday-Friday (and Saturday during tax season) position.
