Established plaintiff's personal injury firm seeks to hire an associate attorney with a minimum of 10 years of medical malpractice experience to join our expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in one of Queens County's largest trial firms, offering a fast-paced, dynamic, and supportive environment where you can develop your trial skills alongside experienced attorneys. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing a substantial caseload, making daily court appearances, drafting pleadings and discovery responses, conducting depositions, preparing motions, appeals, and trial documents. Significant trial experience is advantageous.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree
- Licensed in New York State, NJ is a Plus
- 10 years of plaintiff-side medical malpractice experience
- Strong work ethic and resilience to handle complex cases
Responsibilities
- Position Overview: The Medical Malpractice Attorney is responsible for representing clients in malpractice cases
- Advise and guide clients on claims including traumatic brain injuries, nursing home abuse, and surgical errors
- Conduct thorough investigations to assess and build strong cases
- Interview clients, witnesses, and experts to execute end-to-end litigation
- Prepare legal documents including complaints, motions, pleadings, and discovery
- Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings
- Collaborate with internal teams for effective case management
- Stay updated on Medical Malpractice laws and legal developments
