Job Summary:

This position involves operating the crane and cheese cutter for packaging including understanding packaging including loading, labeling, bagging, weighing, boxing, palletizing, cutting and some basic sanitation. This position requires strict adherence to GMP, sanitation, safety, timekeeping and personal conduct rules.

Job Responsibilities:

• Utilize crane system including set up, hand controls, moving of forms, proper loading/unloading of forms while monitoring cables to prevent twisting and pinching
• Setup and use of Grinder and Cutter including carriage/harp/basket along with knowledge of daily schedule; proper insertion of product and forms as needed
• Cheese recovery including scraping bottom of pallets and pans for brown process tubs
• Knowledge of color code system used for processing cheese including cheese type specifics for production
• Strict adherence to GMPs; Keep area clean
• Strict adherence to Safety/PPE protocols and procedures; reporting unsafe conditions to plant management
• Accurate recordkeeping and line specific paperwork
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Food manufacturing experience preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements:

• Moderately strenuous work involving standing, walking with frequent bending, twisting, pushing and squatting; Repetitive lifting of up to 50 lbs.
• Fast-paced clean environment; frequently cool, wet, and moderate noise along with working with chemicals
