Essential Duties
- Lead mechanical design for modular products, including HVAC systems, airflow/thermal management, ducting, coil selection, and control sequences.
- Engineer piping and fluid systems, including P&IDs, line sizing, pump selection, valves, supports, insulation, and seismic/transport considerations.
- Design sheet metal and structural assemblies for manufacturability and durability; specify welds, finishes, hardware, tolerances, and inspection criteria.
- Perform or review dynamic and structural analyses, including vibration, fatigue, shock/transport loads, and validate FEA/CFD results.
- Produce and approve calculations, design packages, drawings, specifications, and test plans; maintain templates, standard details, and design checklists.
- Lead engineering workstreams or projects: plan, schedule, estimate, manage risk, track progress, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with Electrical, Civil/Structural, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Field Services, and vendors/OEMs; lead design reviews and manufacturability assessments.
- Support manufacturing, testing, and field commissioning; resolve build issues, execute FAT/SAT, validate performance, and lead CAPA/root cause investigations.
