Scope Of Responsibility

Reporting directly to the General Counsel, the Contracts Manager will lead the company’s commercial contracting strategy across Sabre’s business lines. This role ensures that contracts not only comply with company policies but also mitigate risk, enable business growth, and protect the organization’s interests. The position requires expert knowledge of complex commercial manufacturing and construction contracts—including EPC agreements, master service/purchasing agreements, NDAs, and purchase order terms and conditions—and a deep understanding of key contractual provisions such as indemnity, insurance, limitations of liability, consequential damages, warranty, risk of loss, delivery and acceptance, force majeure, and payment terms. This role also provides strategic guidance to Legal, Sales, and Operations teams and contributes to proposal and deal structuring initiatives.

Essential Duties

  • Act as the company’s primary contracts authority, leading day to day contract support to manufacturing and construction operations.
  • Draft, review, revise and negotiate a wide range of complex commercial contracts, including customer, vendor, supplier, logistics, and service contracts with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual risk, providing strategic recommendations to leadership.
  • Lead high-stakes negotiations with customers, suppliers, and partners, balancing commercial objectives with risk management priorities.
  • Establish and maintain contract standards, templates, and governance processes to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization.
  • Partner with Legal, Sales, and Operations to advise on deal structuring, risk allocation, and contractual obligations.
  • Monitor and enforce contract performance, renewals, and close-outs.
  • Advise on contract disputes, claims, and resolutions while preserving business relationships
  • Maintain senior-level relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive efficient and effective contracting processes.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes, industry standards, and best practices, including the UCC.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in legal studies, business administration, engineering, construction management, or related field, or equivalent combination of experience and training.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably supporting manufacturing or construction companies with responsibility for high-value or complex contracts.
  • Proven track record negotiating and managing contracts that mitigate risk while enabling business growth.
  • Experience with complex commercial manufacturing or construction deals, including project-based agreements or multi-party contracts.
  • Strong understanding of laws and regulations impacting manufacturing or construction contracting.

Skills & Abilities

  • Deep expertise in contractual terms, conditions, and negotiation strategies, with proven ability to structure agreements that minimize organizational risk.
  • Strong ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet tight deadlines while adapting quickly to shifting business needs.
  • Highly detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all contract documentation and related communications.
  • Proactive and self-directed, able to independently manage complex contract matters from start to finish.
  • Skilled at handling time-sensitive issues, multitasking, and managing competing priorities effectively.
  • Exceptional written communication skills, including clarity, grammar, and precision in contract language.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with aptitude for learning new contract management or database tools.
  • Advanced Microsoft Word skills, including formatting, document automation, and track changes for complex contracts.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit at a desk and use a computer for extended periods
  • Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
